As National Adoption Month unfolds, we are delighted to honor Stacie Tush, Director of Performance & Risk Management, and her heartwarming journey to motherhood through adoption. Stacie’s story, filled with hope and resilience, shines a light on the transformative power of love and family.
National Adoption Month is a significant time dedicated to raising awareness about the need for adoptive families for children in foster care. This initiative emphasizes the importance of providing stable, loving homes for children who may otherwise face uncertain futures.
TFI finalized 430 adoptions in the past fiscal year, showcasing dedication to the strength of families. This month, TFI plans to finalize approximately 90 adoptions, further demonstrating their commitment to this vital cause. These efforts profoundly impact the lives of children, giving them the opportunity for a brighter and more secure future.
In April 2024, Stacie’s dream of becoming a mother was beautifully realized when she officially adopted her daughter, Emery. Reflecting on that life-changing day, Stacie shared that it was the most amazing day surrounded by family and friends, knowing that Emery was legally her daughter. Their journey, which began when Emery was just four months old, was marked by an unbreakable bond and a shared belief that their meeting was meant to be. “I know that God brought Emery and me together,” said Tush.
National Adoption Month holds special significance for Stacie and Emery, serving as a reminder of the incredible journey they have undertaken together. Tush emphasizes the importance of embracing both the children and their biological families in adoption, underscoring the need for a strong support network. It truly takes a village, she advises, highlighting the role of community and professional support in navigating the complexities of adoption.
In celebrating their story, we are reminded of the boundless possibilities that perseverance and love can create.
