May is recognized as National Foster Care Month – a time to
recognize children and youth in foster care and the dedicated caregivers who support them. This year’s national theme is “Engaging Youth. Building Supports. Strengthening Opportunities.”
According to childwelfare.gov there are more than 365,000 children and youth in foster care across the United States. This stark reality highlights the urgent need for more foster parents in the community.
“The need for caring, nurturing foster families is greater than ever, with children of all ages. If you’ve ever felt called to make a difference, now is the time,” says Pam Richardson, TFI VP of Foster Care. “Together, we can give children the love they deserve and help them thrive.”
